VITO SoundEditor enables sound editing at Pocket PC. It features set of tools for fast and reliable processing of small and large files.

Main window of SoundEditor consists of following elements:

1. Horizontal scroll bar for navigating within the file.
2. Canvas for displaying the waveform. Tap once to position a cursor, tap and drag to select a part of the waveform, tap and hold for context menu.
3. Sound waveform.
4. Cursor.
5. Amplitude scale.
6. Time scale.
7. Time markers. First marker displays the position of the cursor, second one displays the end point of selection, third one displays length of the selection.

Zoom options:		Zooming and alignment options

Tap menu File > Open to open existing sound file. Since SoundEditor works in direct-to-file mode (all changes are immediately stored into opened file) you will be asked about file copy to be made before editing. This allows you to save initial recording and to work with its copy provided the required free space is available.

Tap File > New to create new sound recording. You will be asked to define recording sample rate (Hz) and resolution (bit). The sound is recorded via built-in or external microphone of your PocketPC.

Tap File > New from clipboard to create new file with a waveform previously stored in clipboard.

Edit

Use Edit menu to access editing options (cut, copy, paste) and one step Undo/Redo or tap-n-hold on highlighted waveform to access these options from context menu.

Program Settings

Use menu File > Settings to access program preferences.

Specify path for storing copied files
Drag the slider to adjust visualisation speed and waveform accuracy. The higher the visualization speed, the less accurate the waveform.
