VITO MobileDownloader is a download manager for Pocket
PC. It supports HTTP and FTP internet protocols and downloading from LAN,
resuming of interrupted downloads, simultaneous downloads and is fully
integrated with Pocket Internet Explorer browser (you can download files from
context menu in PIE).
Interface
1.
Traffic chart.
Shows speed of all current downloads. Scale is 50 Kb.
2. Statistic area. Displays volume of data received and its cost.
3. Main area. Displays files top-down in the order they are to be
downloaded. Icons located next to each file name display the status of the
download:
Download completed successfully
Download is in progress
Negotiating with the server
Download failed
Download paused
Download scheduled for restart

messages while negotiating with the server.

Quick Start
1.
Establish
connection to the network.
2. Add file for download:
o
Press
Add download (7) and fill in the New Download Properties window.
OR
o
In
the Pocket Internet Explorer window tap on the link, select "Mobile
Download" in the pop-up menu and fill in the New Download Properties window.

Download
Properties window consists of four tabs:
o File tab. Enter URL for download (added automatically if downloaded from the browser), destination folder and name for the file. You can also use server authentication if required.
o
Download tab.
If necessary, change restart settings (by default, downloading restarts if for
100 seconds the speed is lower than 1 b/s) and retries number (default is 30).
Enter price per megabyte if your ISP provides price-per-megabyte service.
Autostart on create if checked will start downloading the file
automatically after pressing OK.
Autostart on run if checked will start downloading automatically after
MobileDownloader is launched.
Don't restart if resuming not supported will cancel the download if the
connection was broken and the server does not support resuming.

FTP tab.
Settings apply for FTP servers. If necessary, change the timeout period after
which the download will be cancelled (default is 100 seconds).
"ASCII mode" . Download this file as text file. This option turns on
the conversion from [LF] to [CR][LF].
"BINARY mode" . Download this file as binary file. This option turns
off the conversion from [LF] to [CR][LF].

HTTP tab.
Settings apply for HTTP servers. If necessary, change the timeout period after
which the download will be cancelled (default is 100 seconds) and the
user-agent string for identification of the download manager.
FTP and HTTP settings are for advanced users only!

Press
OK to start download.

Check
Log downloads if you want to create a log file for each download. Select
a destination folder for the log file to be saved.

Enter
the size of the log file (default is 100 Kb).
· Select how frequently the traffic chart indicator will be updated. Default and recommended is 100 seconds.

Enter
the number of separate downloads to be performed simultaneously.
Register
VITO MobileDownloader is a shareware product. It must be purchased and
registered after its trial period is over or uninstalled from a mobile device.
After you purchase VITO MobileDownloader you will receive a letter with
instructions on how to register your copy. To find your User ID tap
Tools>Register on the Menu bar. You will be brought to the registration
dialog. Your activation code should be entered into the appropriate field of
that dialog.
