How do I register SoundExplorer?
After you have purchased SoundExplorer you will receive an e-mail with an activation code. Please, make sure your device is connected to Internet, start SoundExplorer and click Activate in Menu, type in your activation code from the e-mail into the empty form and press Activate now.
In case you can't connect to Internet from your pocket PC or smartphone, activation will take more time: click Activate off-line and follow the instructions from the pop-up window. After you've performed the necessary action you will receive an e-mail with the activation code for completing your activation.
Note: as you can see activating your SoundExplorer on-line is much easier than the off-line variant which can take considerably more time. We recommend you on-line activation.

How do I run SoundExplorer?
Use program shortcut at StartMenu>Programs or assign its launch to a hardware button using VITO ButtonMapper. You can also start it by tapping the icon with arrow on Today screen. Turn on Today plugin from Settings>tab Personal>tab Items by checking the box SoundExplorer.

How do I upgrade to the newest version?
Just download the latest version and install it over your previous installation. If you're a registered user, the program will retain your registration and you won't need to enter your registration data again.

Why can't I record in stereo?
Recording in stereo is currently limited by PocketPCs' hardware restrictions. We are currently working on a new audio engine for SoundExplorer, which hopefully will allow recording in stereo.

Yes, you can. But we recommend installing it directly onto device for better performance.

Is there any compression used for recorded files?
MP3 compression can save lots of valuable free space. MP3 encoding of large files on slow devices can take some time, please allow several minutes for encoding to finish.

My button settings in SoundExplorer do not work with ButtonMapper enabled. Are they compatible?
Please download and install the latest version of VITO ButtonMapper.
